Robert Del Tredici's Trungpa: Photographs has been out for two years now. It has undergone one small revision, and Del Tredici is in the process of making a much larger revision, adding text to accompany each of the 240 black-and-white photographs of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche (1939-87) and his followers. Trungpa, a controversial Tibetan Buddhist meditation master, founded the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado and over 100 Shambala Centers worldwide. His students included Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs, John Cage, Abbie Hoffman, Anne Waldman, Gary Snyder, W.S. Merwin, Joni Mitchell. Del Tredici was among Trungpa's followers off and on between 1972 and 1982. His photographs document those times.
